A couple of times now my disco has had trouble starting. It turns over fine but won't fire. It's done it a few times before and a quick lock and unlock seems to sort it. However, earlier this week I must have had 10 attempts at starting it. I tried the old lock/unlock but didn't work Eventually I got it started by repeating this process. I don't think it can be the immobiliser going pete tong as I understand that this cuts power to the starter motor... and that obviously has power! Could it just be the fuel solonoid sticking and if so are these easy to replace?
A few times I've caught the hazzards randomly flashing too.... could it be the immobiliser then?
