300tdi rear box - getting rid of silencer

I have a 300 tdi lump in my 1990 (200tdi model) that has been bob-tailed, I bought it like this. It has a 2 piece exhaust systemfrom what I can see. The front section has done away with the cat by the looks of it, it seems to have a flexi sort of section just down from the turbo.

The rear section that had 2 silencers has had the rear silencer cut off as part of the bobtail mod. I need to replace the exhaust as it has rusted. I am looking for a rear section that doesnt have any silencers whatsoever. Anyone know of anyone that sells something like this, or anyone that has done this?

Wild guess but you could try allisport, they may be able to custom size one for you, could be costly tho. Id just buy another cheapy and cut the friggin end off, but hey thats me cheap scate. good luck tho and let me know how you got on.

would be better off getting one made up if you only want one silencer

thanks, mine is a 2 piece. assuming the downpipe on a 2 and 3 piece is the same length, does the rear section split into 2 as in a 3 piece. if so, i can buy a middle straight piece from m&m and the get a standard rear and cut the silencer off. what do you reckon. ta

Think we need a piccy of where the current box is cut... might be easier to see the cheapest way round it then!

i bet it's a 200 pipe trimmed down

The cat has not been relplaced by the flexi it just doesn't have a CAT. They didn't all have them. My Disco and 90 don't have them.

Get a new non cat down pipe (if you need that too), then get onto jetex and order up enough pieces to go from the new downpipe to the back.

Yeah Jetex are pretty good, they've got all sorts and the prices aren't bad.
