Good evening all I am after some help and advice I was off road at the weekend and managed to fill my car with water now the central locking ecu is not working its a amr4886 what I was going to ask is if I go to my local scrap yard and get the same ecu with the key for for it will I be able to just plug it in and use it or will it require a reset thanks

AMR4886 is the alarm ECU which also controls the central locking and the "spider" immobilising of the engine, if water has entered the ECU then your in trouble as nothing would work.
There's no resetting to do, you will require the fob/s that that match the replacement ECU.
