Eyup.

Feels like it's clogged the filter occasionally. Revs up misses and stumbles then revs up like it means business.

No air visible in pipes. Changed filter and it was fine for 5 miles then missing again.

Tank sender 6 month old, checked inside tank no evidence of muck or water.
No sedimenter fitted just two nylons lines to the pump.

Just about to check the lift pump gauze. (lift pump is new ish a couple of months old, delphi one)

On the mech pump, the timing is controlled by an orifice on the banjo. This is the EDC one... is the timing solenoid controlled? Or is there a fancy return banjo on this too that could be blocked?

Another thought is the pump quantity solenoid (I think) does seem to be buzzing quite loudly. Can't remember if it always did when running though.
Been at the lift pump. Bit of crap in the gauze but nothing much. No change now it's clear.

Blew out the banjo on return but not convinced it did owt. Very strange contraption looks like a needle or something inside.

Still have same problem, seems fine when cool. Took a few runs up the hill here before the problem came back. Tried it with tank cap loose, don't think it's vacuum in tank.
Next test, pull return line off and check for decent return flow.

Possibly unrelated but, it's been fine on bio for ages. But it's currently on about 50/50 bio/derv as I had to stick 15l in on Sunday. Did 100 miles since fine until today
Seems to be a good stream of fuel from the return pipe. 500ml in 20 seconds or so

cleaned the TPS connector a bit (it looked perfect but anyway)... took it for a blast. behaved fine.

not claiming victory just yet as suspect heat soak into the pump or even TPS may play a part... as it was cool at 11pm but was hot yesterday afternoon
