We were using our 300tdi for some extreme hill climbing on slippery rocky wet ground today and had issues. I have raised suspension (2 inches) and have issues with the prop shaft doughnut collapsing I think 3 have been replaced in one year. This time it was necessary to remove the prop in a layby miles from home so I seek a solution. What can resolve the issues of the excessive diff to prop shaft angle. Any help would be appreciated, I'm sure several solutions exist but which.? Thankyou.

I replaced the old doughnut with a disco 200Tdi rear prop and rear diff flange. The flange is different on the 300Tdi and is not compatible with a 200Tdi prop.

Why did you replace it , did you have issues , did it resolve any ? Thanks
One of these perhaps ?

Thanks for the link, did the parts you fitted have a sliding joint fitted to the prop shaft, not clear in the pictures. Thanks.

My disco also had a 2 inch lift. The doughnut never lasted more than 2-3 years which may have been in part due to the lift. Never had an issue with the 200Tdi prop.

Do have an idea where i can purchase these spacers for the rear trailing arms. These will change the angle of the rear differential and the original doughnut could be used which is preferential I think.
