300tdi disco td5 headlight conv

seen a couple of 300tdi discos with the td5 headlight conversion. not 100% that im keen, what do yous lot think? any1 know how much work involved if i go ahead???????:alien:

alot of work and a lot of money. suggest you search.

Pointless fooking waste of time. as long as the OE lights work whats the point of changing em?


Oh and do a search there's loads of blow by blow accounts of how to do the conversion

just did a search. seems abit of a fanny on. still cant decide if i like the look of it

buy a TD5 if you like the lights

I can see why if you had an early series 2 and also changed the rear light set up but a TDi, is it worth it as the bits are not exactly cheap? You would have a late front and a series 1 rear no matter what. Private plate won't disguise it.

not trying to make it look like a td5 at all. trying to make your landrover look newer than it is( face lift) is a pointless, you want a newer look then go out and buy one. i have simply seen afew 300tdis with these lights on and may go for it myself.

don't know about spotty dog, more like schizo !

done it, looks the spotty dogs bollox. much better at night. Quite a bit of nerve recking bits to do though

yeah like the look of yours, been told it costs around a grand??

ebay mate, dont go for SETS of lights...go for them as single light units...

on a sort of tangent to this thread but i saw on a kit car website THESE and wondered if it was worth making taking out the existing lights making some plates up and fitting quad projector lights, with maybe LED running lights underneath.... ooo how chic talk about silk purse from pigs ear

i like the look of it with the guards. going to try ebay tonight. going to search for a step by step guide as the guy i spoke to said the cutting of wings ect is a pain. cheers
