300tdi disco rear axel on my 90

Morning all

Thanks you for taking the time to look at my question

I am in the middle of stripping a disco axel so I can have discs all round. Dose any one know if I can fit the diff and current drive shafts from the axel on my 90, I ask because the shafts are attached to the flange om the disco and I don't know if they are the same length. Thanks for looking Simon.

So you've got a complete discovery axle?
If so just fit the complete thing. You will just have to swap the Diff flange over from 3
bolt to a defender 4 bolt one.

Cool I take there will be no problem with the front being a 10 spline

Nope I did exactly the same with my brothers 90

dont forget you will need a spacer for flange if you get the shorter 4 bolt flange

7 years later James but is that spacer a standard part or has it to be custom made?

Thanks James, 8 years after striping my 1989 90 I am eventually getting back to it, chassis repaired and galvanised, donor disco striped, starting on axel rebuilds now.

you can get flanges with spacer built on ,or still use short and a spacer
