300tdi diff lock mech onto td5

Sorry!! I know its been asked 100s of times. I got a td5 discovery auto with the cdl but no mechanism. What do i need off a 300tdi to convert? If its a automatic 300tdi does that mean i dont need the top housing off the 300tdi box? I have read the Post about the conversion but its sunday night, and i have had a few beers. Can someone just write a list for me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Diff is part of the transfer box not the gearbox, and the selector from any D1 will do, diesel or petrol.
And your correc,t there is a lot of info on the conversation of D2s that don’t have the selector for diff lock even though the the transfer box has it... maybe as some don’t.
