Just around half way into my disco 300tdi into '86 n/a mod 110 conversion and i cant quite work out how the high pressure line is going to able to secure properly as it seems to sit way off the chassis?

Pump isnt fitted just yet as im having a garage change the drop arm so not connected to anything the other end.

Mine fitted fine.....

Does the angle comming out of the pump look correct? As the seller did say he had a bit of difficulty seperating the 2 so maybe bent out?
Bend it around a bit then, as long as you don't put a kink in the pipe it'll work fine. I've since totally bent mine as I left my ratchet on the crank pulley bolt and spun the engine over:oops: Still works OK but it's on the list of jobs I'm procrastinating over :p

I had mine extended by pirtek.
After several attempts they got it the right length, not leaking and not blocked with excess solder!!
TBF, they did sort the issues without any quibble and refunded me for the pas pump that expired due to pumping against a dead end (pipe blocked by solder), so in the end I actually ended up a few quid better off!!

I think if i can manage to bend the pipe comming out the pump so the rubber pipe is to the side of the chassis rail rather than on top, it should line up.
Not sure how to bend it without kinking or snapping it though!

All the pump to box pipes im looking at online have 2 rubber sections at either end wheras mine is all hard pipe after the first rubber section which is probably making it a little difficult.

When I did my 300tdi conversion I got a hydraulic specialist to extend the high pressure flexi-pipe from the pump to the metal pipe that fits behind the front crossmember. The other two pipes are low pressure and I made up new pipes which were fastened with jubilee clips. I put the PAS reservoir on the passenger side front corner, next to the intercooler, however if I did it again I would put it on the driver's side as you need all the room on the passenger side to fit a decent air filter.

I know you haven't asked, but if you still have the original LT77 and 1.6:1 transfer box in yours, it will rev its nuts off in 5th, the performance will have been transformed because it will accelerate up hills, but it will feel like it needs an extra two gears. I fitted a 1.2:1 transfer box in mine, and it is now a pleasure to drive on motorways.

Managed to bend it without damage
Doesnt fit perfectly against the chassis crossmember but enough to get it it secured.
If i have any issues ill get the first flexi pipe extended a little, itll then sit flush.
