If you've got access to an endoscope, could you not simply remove the clutch slave and feed the 'scope in through the opening for the slave?
Do you really want to bore a hole in your bellhousing? This sort of thing with the clutch may only happen once in the life of the vehicle, another hole just lets dirt and water in.

You would think so. Only thing about this as I tried when my 90 had a clutch issue. Is being able to feed it in and get it so that you can get good pictures. Maybe with a bery expensive endo you could do it. But with the one I have getting a good focus is nigh on impossible to make any form of decision unless you are very lucky.

This is why I did not bother doing it.

Cheers

OK, so it appears springs in the clutch were the cause of the issue.

Cheers

So what's happened with it ???
Just tried bleeding mine after fitting new slave and no joy.
Mate reckons master cylinder but not convinced I spoke to viv and he said they is a bastid to bleed. He said crack the pipes.
Am gonna try one of me dads old oil cans with the nipple end and force it up.
Its apparently had noo clutch etc soo ah hope its just a bleed issue ffs :(

@Nig

went off to the garage to have new clutch fitted, was apparently bleeding all right but internally was fubarred.

best result I have had is with reverse bleeding using an oil can or using an eezibleed pressure system, just make sure toread all the gufff about max pressure from the tyre. also make sure the bleed nipple is in the rigth place on the slave , top of slave iirc and it ndid help on my 90 when i angled the car front end uphill.

Good luck.

Cheers

I'll have another go tomorrow cheers ;)
Maybe the seals have inverted in the master.

Joy of joys,

They often say if you are changing one , then change the other. I am waiting for my Master cylinder to fail as well.
