Hi all. Was told somewhere there was a helpful video link on replacing you rotten boot floor. Can anyone share link so I can get parts and have idea on what I'm doing. Thanks x

It's easy and obvious once you take the interior out. Old floor is only spot welded in place. So just needs oiking out. If the rest of the body is ok, arches and bits near the seat belt mounts. Then you can either get a replacement floor and have it welded in. Or just get a sheet of aluminium and drill and bolt it in.

Rear seats have belt mounts that go through the floor, they don't bolt to it. If you have boot mounted seats then you may need to do additional work.

Thanks. Do have belt mounts and also think need new arches. Seen people saying bolt, rivet but I'm going to weld. Always worked on front never big area like back but hey think it's just get on with it. Sick of being told there rubbish and scrap. Thanks again x

Yeah the main thing to look for is as above, if it is "just" the boot floor panel that is rusted its not too bad. It does become more difficult if the rust is around the join of this and other areas. Its entirely possible of course, but you have to start making little bits of replacement body to weld in, before you can re-fit your new boot panel.

Good luck.

Well replaced pulley and someone before had obviously had a go and helicoiled the thread. Now having to replace it all as they did not do it very well and the tensioner moving about as the thread jiggered. Oh well get this done then move on to next job.

There are lots of threads on here for 200 / 300TDi re-builds ...
