My wagon has been sticking in 1st gear when i start to drive when she is cold. This normally only lasts a few minutes, but has taken longer on some occasions. I have just had the transmission oil and filter changed with only a slight improvement.....ish. Once i have got the first gear change and sometimes a one or two more it runs as smooth as a new car and you wouldnt believe there was a problem to begin with. Some people have said that it could be the gearbox on the way out, but if that was the case would this not be a constant problem and would i not have other shifting problems???
The only other thing that has been mentioned is the govorner valve but is there any way of getting this checked/changed?

This may seem silly to the more experienced owners, but im getting there....slowly lol

:confused::confused::confused:

you need to remove transfer box ,rear shaft and rear housing ,govenor will slide off .you may need to remove park pawl ,you can strip/check it

Mine does that occasionally. Also my park pawl is buggered after a mate tried winching some trees out whilst in Park. Fancy giving us an indepth explanation of how to sort it James? Haynes manual only goes as far as taking the transfer box off...

You sir are a legend, thankyou!
Don't suppose you know what happens to the 14cux when the lambda sensors are damaged/disconnected do you? mine feels like it's missing on petrol with no power but is smooth as anything on gas... I was wondering about a possible stuck injector?

Sorry for hijacking your thread pwjd

slightly higher fuel consumption,would be fuel related issue,pump to injector

Ok that would be brilliant, how much? want to pm me?

I figured you'd say that... I'll be getting a spare set of injectors sent off to be cleaned and flow tested then. Damn
