Hi lads & ladies
hope you can help me with a problem my mate has, he is registered on here but at the moment cannot get his tinternet working. His 300 starts usually ok then intermittently when he stops engine to leave vehicle on returning it will not start occasionally the immobiliser kicks in and he has to faf around with double button remote pad and it will start. Lately how ever it will crank over and over but to no avail he leaves it for 10 or so minutes and it starts it is becoming a real pain in the ass now, Obviously he is a good friend and i would like to help him get this sorted with your help please.
thanks in advance:)

Hi
I had something of a same fault a couple of weeks ago, engine turning over but would not start, traced fault to the fuel cut off solenoid not operating due to low voltage from emobilser unit.Had to disconnect connection and temp wire straight from battery to get it started .
Have tried to trace wirng through but as yet have not been able to find fault.
Hope this might put your friend in the right track.

it is probably the spider unit under the dash that is giving grief. Common problem when the sloder cracks on this unit. Therefore no power to fule pump or starter somtimes. My advice is to get a bypass plug from the LR dealers for about $10 plug it into the spider unit. problem will be solved once and for all.

Hi play mates
just to let you know the spider unit on my mates 300 is toast, he has ordered the kit to replace the spider box from craddocks 3 day wait though £5 and a hell of a lot of dash to take out should cure it once and for all.
thanks for replies;)

In the meantime you could run a wire from the white wire at the ignition switch to the stop solenoid on the pump and solenoid will be controlled directly by ign switch .
