Could anyone please tell what is needed in conversion kit to to put a 300 TDI from a Discovery into a 1986 Land Rover 90 and if possible a rough idea of the conversion parts cost. I was told the 300 was good and reliable.

I cant believe I get no answer to my what I think is an easy question or is a first time poster ignored.
Either way that is the end of the forum for me.

Don't yu just love noobs that think we have to jump as soon as they post!

Got plenty of answers now, I am an HGV artic driver probably driven more miles illegal than all you ****s have done legal. Don't know where LRO is.

LRO is the land rover owners forum. Google will tell you how to find it. It's a bit stuffy and there's no swearing or humour over there unlike here which is full of friendly banter. This forum is probably the best for tech help and a bit of a laugh. The occasional insult is made, especially towards manchester n' freelanders but take it all in good humour.

I think this is a shame that someone can dismiss something as useful as a forum like this, just because they dont get an instant answer. Many of the people on here have a massive background of LR experience, from dealers, indies,(Like me) and from their own backyard spannering.
Good things come to those who wait.

peters pies a castle(and that describes the villagers even that can't stand up straight) mate just up the road from you in zooport the home of vests stella and a staff lol

You're not far from the peters pies factory either then. I like the sticker on the back of their vans - "no pies are kept in this van overnight".

Best thing about the peters pies factory, the bearmach trade counter is just around the corner.

Where have you been - did you get fed up like I did a while back ?

I jacked it in at land rover about 14 months ago and got another job so never came back on here, was fed up with landys and the moaning customers that go with them! Had a PM from a forum member so replied to that and thought I'd pop back in for a look around. nice to see some familiar "faces" around
