Hi All

quick question on a 94 defender 300 tdi is the down pipe fixed to the manifold with nuts and bolts or nuts and a stud in the manifold part.

mine is heavily corroded and can't tell if the top is the head of a corroded rusted bolt or just a lump of metal.

i was going to replace my self but if its a stud and sheers i could be in for more hassle and will take it somewhere

Thanks

Rich

though they might be a pita. but good to year yours didn't break I'm guessing if i do it myself i will probably be more careful then a garage

get a 6 point socket too. they will be rusted, and a 12 point will round them.... and then youll need to hammer on an old 6 point anyhow.

(so just start with the 6 point! : )

Well the that went better than expected two good blasts of wd 40 over two days decent socket on a large rachet and they cracked off easy no broken knuckles or studs.

Cheers peeps
