300 tdi disco 1 heater matrix

Hi there, I'm totally new to the forum but desperate for help! I have a 96 disco 1 for the wife which she loves but the heater matrix dropped it's water all over the carpet. Anyhoo I have got a new one and spent 4 hours removing g the dash to fit the new matrix. Trouble is I can get the pipes to the matrix but can't get the clips back on. Any tricks or tips appreciated

Did mine a few years ago now, so a bit hazy on the details. It took me all weekend from start to finish. Just persevere with the clips, they went on in the end, think I used a screwdriver, I remember swearing quite a bit. Sometimes helps to get down to eye level with them. When I put the dash back I forgot to put the heater control wires back, something to remember. Good luck.
