I have a 1989 landrover 90 2.5 td, I have recently acquired a complete 300 tdi engine with turbo, radiator, intercooler, exhaust & hoses. The only thing missing is power steering pump. Is it possible to use TD ps pump??
I am also led to believe that new engine mounts need to be made, is this true? I plan to keep the LT77 gearbox if possible??
Other than extending various pipes & modifying radiator mounts / engine mounts, what other problems might I encounter?
What about engine wiring? Can I use standard wiring?? I notice some electrical device fitted to throttle assembley on fuel pump, what would this connect to, if anything?
Finally what about EGR valve? Is this needed or can it be capped off?
Any help, advise or directions that would assist in this conversion would be most appreciated.
