300 discovery gearbox jammed

Gearstick is jammed solid in what looks like 1st gear position
but is actually in a neutral. any suggestions ?.

you will have to remove consol ,rubber gaiter and tin cover over gear box top ,remove gearbox top and check lever ,and yoke grub screw and ball on selector shaft ,if youve pulled selector shaft pin between selectors often box has to be stripped to put right, so hope its the former

ive done it before by dropping box off mounts and lowering it to give access removing interlock (2 bolts half way along top of box) and rotating selector while relocating pin on shaft
