Yep 30yrs of LR's most versatile 4x4.
Nice to be able to say that, I’ve only experienced the D1 long term and thats only to replace my RR 22 year ago, which I could have easily kept, if it wasn’t falling apart as they did. Had a few test drives on a D2 though.
But then I nearly had a D5 three years ago, but when I enquired, the dealer didn’t have a demo vehicle to show me
Anyway they wouldn’t give me what I wanted for my part exchange, so they did me a favour and I didn’t want seven seats or a diesel anyway, so I went next door to Jaguar and did the deal I wanted for a XE R with them.
Still have a D1 which is trouble free to do the fetching and carrying.
Easily LR's best model
Really rather like my MY2000 TD5 D2.
Jack of all trades, can do everything a defender and RR can do but in a versatile package!
I take it you had the D1 since new? Quite fancy myself a late D1 V8i.
Ive been watching this one for 2 weeks its been listed twice, if it was closer I would have considered it but
its too far.I like to keep an eye on the prices & they seam to be gradually going up

Yep as with the RRC so many have been butchered to be offroaded that the clean ones are few and far between.
Looks like a nice motor, but a bit too rich for me

My D1 was nicer than my RRC
From practical family workhorse to overlectrified pimpmobile in 30 years (sigh!)
