3 dr & 5 dr tailgates, Are they the same?

As it says on the tin, 3 door & 5 door tailgates, Are they the same / interchangeable?

yes

As Pardec (love that avatar) says, yes they are the same, but I found it can be a bugger to line up the lock and if it is not in the right place, the door won't latch and the window will not rise.
Don't forget that the facelift and pre-facelift have different plastic mouldings along the bottom on the outside and the fixings are not the same.
