3 door

Generally see a fair few Disco's. There are 3 in my street, but never seem to see and 3 door models. Apart from mine, i've not see anymore round here or on travels either.

Are they quite rare or were people just not the fussed about them?

They do look a bit shorter than the 5doors, but that's about all i can tell.

They are the same length, just less doors. I think the main customer base, families on their jollies, dictated what was purchased when new.

Looking at the v8 a few doors down it looks a fair bit longer than mine.

I used to think the same, but when I looked at repair panels etc they were same. I think the bit that threw me was the coloured pillar between the mid/rear windows that the 5 door doesn't have. Without insulting you, the one you're looking at isn't a disco 2 is it?

I've got one and it's the same size as my mates 5 dr i think. A mate has a 3dr too but unbelievably it was specd as a 7 seat from the factory, so someone said yes I want practical 7 seats but not 2 more doors for all the people to get in??!

My old V8 was the same, it had an odd spec too with above base model gadgets but nothing too luxurious.

All D1s are same dimensions.

It is M reg so only one newer than mine (n reg). It just looks longer, but could be the extra doors giving a bit of an optical illusion.

7seater!!! Bahahaaa. Had 11 in my 3door last night. Was a squeeze. But most of them were skinny ass lasses and 2 fat #### blokes.

funny you should say this, just got a disco a week ago and the mrs said that the boot looks smaller than the last one we had.
M reg 300tdi, it wasn't until she said it, that i looked and thought yes she is right.
but i've never seen another disco that was longer/shorter then others, so must just be not having one for 5 bleeding years(that was a loooong wait!!)

Maybe, as there was a long wheel base D1 available to order Ive seen a couple, therefore not all D1s are the same.
