Hi there, looking for some friendly knowledge and advice as I’m not a whizz when it comes to these things.

I have the three amigos permanently on (abs tc hd) and when we ran the codes it came up as all 4 ABS sensors having a fault, which I figured would be extremely unlikely and most likely then something else. But what?
And here I am…. I await your knowledge and enthusiasm to help a stranger in need :)

Ye I have changed the brake light switch to no avail. Still has all 4 ABS sensor faults

also, gear stick shakes at higher speeds when accelerating, any ideas?

Engine: TD4

Could the three amigos problem be the G sensor? Heard that somewhere. If so, where is it located?

This table might help you identify the issue, but also might not, as 3 amigos covers lots of faults.

The G sensor is under the centre console, in the area of the handbrake lever.

If faulty, a replacement will need calibration with suitable diagnostic equipment.

I'm pretty sure that once you drop more than a couple of sensors the speedo will stop working. In fact if all 4 are dropped, it will not work.

So if the speedo is working, then you do not have 4 faulty sensors. I believe this is right, someone may say correct me.

I'd check the codes again, clear them, then take the car for a drive and see which ones come back.

If you put the codes up you will get useful help.

You'll also have to say what year your Freelander is, and if its a 2002 car, what its VIN number is because the ABS system changed.

You're spot on, ;) and was going to mention it myself, but forgot.

Having the same problem, since this morning. Three amigos turned on when going uphill and accelerating. @Nodge68 What you mentioned about CV joint I am wondering if if the right drive shaft is done now as well, after the left one went. It's a td4 '02 auto, 2002/08, Vin 12A389... Brake light one was changed about 8 y. ago, the other one 2 years ago. Will check on the connections later, but guess it might be both you mentioned the rear bush as well, even though it's been changed twice already, but last time was some years ago.
