Hi does anybody out there know if it is possible to convert a V8 3.9 serpentine to 4.2 by useing a 4.2 crank and pistons?.

no different due the the longer stroke crank

for the work involved in fitting a 4.2 crank you should maybe consider a 4.8 stroker kit.
