Disco 4 (LR4) 3.0 TDV6 reduced performance - turbine inlet valve stuck open

Wife was coming up a hill and this happened. went back to normal and she got home ok.

Codes:
P22D2 - turbocharger turbine inlet valve stuck open
P22CF - turbocharger turbine inlet solenoid circuit.

Live data showed, as far as I can tell, the turbine inlet valve was closed.

So, where is the turbine inlet valve, and can I free it up with WD40 and pliers?!

Edited title in case it rings a few bells...

Deleted fault codes, MIL went off, did a long journey yesterday and no return of fault. It might come back to haunt me later, so if anyone has ideas, let me know.

Maybe it has a sticky actuator, that stuck when it is reached a set point? Was the vehicle parked up for an extended period of time before it was given a good thrashing (although that's best avoided on the 3.0 engine

).

When I first got my D3 had an overboost error, that would manifest itself if the vehicle wasn't driven for a few days. It also hadn't been used for a couple of months before I got it.

However after I gave the turbo actuator and linkage a good spray of WD40, the problem never returned in remaining 3 years I had it.

Turbine inlet valve = actuator? Didn’t know that.
It was being used before I bought it - when the fault occurred, it was climbing a hill so perhaps the actuator was moved more open than it had been in a while, and stuck temporarily.
