2mm or 3mm Ali on bonnet

2mm or 3mm Ali on bonnet for you yanks its not your head

I have got 2mm ali all round but wondered if 2mm would be
OK for standing on when i am out Birding will it take my
15 stone

I now await Jokes I know you don't like Ali so fu8k of* then

3mm is thicker and will support the panels better, but 2mm will do the job, just a little flexier that's all.

I agree wi pos id go for 3mm. You doin the whole bonnet or just the middle?
Smart lookin landy by the way, i got an h plate csw in same colour and was thinking bout puttin alloys on it but realise the old rostyles actually look quite good.

Wings are already done well must be 3mm then for the centre
I will pick one up at Peterborough Landrover show this weekend

Spent loads of money on it its very good mechanically no oil leaks

No oil leaks! stop takin the **** there aint a landy that dont leak oil! take it back to the factory and they will fit one for free

you might want to check your levels this weekend instead of fitting shiny ****

No **** no leaks as I said I spent loads of money on it
diffs OK
transfers box OK
gear box OK
engine OK
brakes OK

and anything else that could make a leak was changed

My misses would not let me park it out on the block drive if it leaked

Don't get me it did leak like a sieve but not now for how long don't know

BTW I like all the shiny stuff who wants a drab Defender bring it on

swivels? steering box? washer bottle? radiator?

perhaps you should put a small can of oil in the back with a hole in it...it just wont look right without a leak!!

by the way i love the shiney stuff....go for it!!

The only thing thats leaking is the Washers onto the Windscreen
when you press the buttons.......
Its my pride & joy if it needs money spent on it so be it life is short

I went last year at that time I had not bought the Landy
got it a week later the show was very good plenty to do
and look at lots of Ali Landy's for sale Nene Overland has
a big stand I nearly bought a pickup Landy there I am glad
I waited for the right one mine was a one Family owner from
new You can get round in 4/5 hours it might be bigger this year
well worth the visit................
