The old threaded studs are gradually falling out of the hub, one fell out completely last wheel change :(
Has anybody replaced theirs with the later M16 press fit jobs? I so, what size did you drill the holes for the interference fit?

For the M16 studs your hole should be 15.8mm dia for the splines to take properly.

Your screwed studs would have been 9/16" BSF or 14.285mm dia.

You should have enough meat left on your drums to open up the holes.

Thanks OSD.

Price of a 15.8 drill was a bit of a shock....cheapest i've found is £44! more of a surprise, that's a taper shank, a plain shank is even dearer.

easier to strip the hub and take it along to an engineering shop and get um drill or find someone with a large pillar drill

The machinery isn't the problem....don't have a 15.8 at work, so I have to fork out for it. :(
I could get a cheaper 16 and grind it down, but hardly seems worth it, it's not that much cheaper.
