jc he bought bows and arrows off ebay went up the local resevour came back with less arrows than he went with. I asked wer did they go his reply"up in the air". Been waiting for report in local rag "dog walker hit by arrow".

just a little thought fella while you have it apart and the clutch slave cylinder off strip it down and give it a good clean to get the gunk out of it and clean the barrel out with a quick wipe out with a brillo pad in the kitchen sink with some fairy liquid ( a bit of maintenance here and there makes a massive improvement )

i tryed this with mine, it dosnt fit because the slave cylinder mountings where it bolts on to is not in line with the part on the gearbox its like 2 inches out, hope this helps

yer on about the clutch thrust bearing controll arm wich if that is already on the gearbox to be transplanted on itll fit and work unless the one on yours is either bent or later series 3 arm on a series 2a gearbox
mine is a series 2 box with its original bellhousing and original clutch arm with a series 3 slave cylinder bolted straight to a diesel series 3 engine wich after id done me refurb and refit it worked first time with no issues :smokin::smokin:
