evening all ,

any ideas whats up with it? 1800 petrol freelander , filled up to the brim with petrol last friday , pottered about all week to and from work ( about 8 miles round trip)

gauge was on the red this morning , filled it back up this morning £65.00

i know its not the most economical thing but its never been that bad.

stuck a new air filter in this morning to see if that helps for the sake of a few quid.
no signs of any leaks , runs sweet as at the moment , no smells of petrol?

the manifold gaskets has a slight blow on which goes when warm.

its had a new exhuaust 3 months ago complete full system (down pipe back including cat)

Any ideas apart from "A box of matches and a gallon of petrol"

Ta
Mick

220 miles = £65 @ £1.15 ltr (approx) = 56.5 ltr = 12.42 Gall = 17.7 mpg

Hate to say it but about right for 1.8 on short trips

And to really fook ya off, just filled my V6....220 miles, (about) 60ltrs lpg @ an extortionate :p £0.51 Just over £30:D

Hello Mick,

Double check your tensioner on the timming belt, mine slipped some time ago and had to retension the belt, just enough to take the edge of th overall performance

Do you have access to a colour tune (thing that fits in place of the spark plug) to see how your mixture is doing

Cheers Dutch RR
