2010 RR Vogue SE side steps

Right, so I'm after a set of side steps for the Rangie. It currently has the chrome side tubes, but I'm not too keen on them and the Mrs needs the steps to help her get in it...
Question is, has anyone any recommendations of where to get a decent set from without paying the ridiculous figure the Land Rover want?!

I've got my eye on these, but wondering if it's a case of 'you get what you pay for'...?

When I got fed up with welding up the running boards on my old Classic, I got a pair of Bearmach. I then moved them on to my next Classic - so I've had them at least 10 years and they look just like new. Galvanised, heavy metal, substantial rubber.

Worth investigating what they offer now for your model.

I too am changing bars for steps on my L322.

My question is; Do the steps fixing brackets fit to the same holes as the side bar fixing brackets, or are there more than one set of fixing hole on each side ?

Well I got a pair off e-bay for £185 and asked a garage to fit them for me.

I took them to the garage as I was having the M O T done at the same time, but when I went to collect my RR the steps were still in there wrapper in the back of the car. the chap said that the rear drivers side would be too awkward for him to do it as there was a tank very close to the mounting screws.

I have had a bought of pneumonia over the last two weeks, but on Sunday I was feeling better and tackled the near side step. All went well and it took me an hour to change from side bar to side step, but I had to pack in after an hour
( I am 76 after all )

Monday morning not too good but after dinner feeling OK so I tackled the drivers step. It was very fiddly and the two 6mm bolts holding the rear bracket were as awkward as hell to loosen with a flat spanner but I managed to loosen them and slid the old bracket out and the new bracket in.

After an hour I had completed the removal of the side bar and fitted the new step. Bingo job done and I was realy chuffed with myself. Where can you advertise goods for sale on here please ?

Not impressed with the garage!

I installed them on my first Classic - fiddly but OK. When I transferred them to my softdash I got the garage to do them. He said it was a bugger because of the LPG tanks, but not impossible.
