Piece of cake, get the kit off ebay or a turbo rebuild shop.

Are your turbine and compressor blades OK? If these need replaced they cost about £80, they balance the shaft etc so there is nothing needing done other than sticking all the bits from the rebuild kit into the casing. If your blades are OK you will just need the seals for the oil bearing, all part of a standard rebuild kit.

I would sent you a rebuld guide, but I am at work, and also don't even know if I could find it on my filing system at home!

When you start to take it apart you will kick yourself when you see how easy it is.
 
its been fine till this morning.it had a dummy spit on the hill no power loads of oil smoke.

it started getting hot quick so i went home slow.i think the heat was low oil but the coolant was very low.i had just done cambelt so prehaps it just needed topping up.the oil in air filter and turbo is a good place to start.turbos deffo fubar s0 it will need fixin.i hope thats all.
 
Also, oil burns hotter than diesel, if there is lots of it, the turbo ain't blowing then there is less air, poor burning, more heat...

Is your rad working OK, it should have coped but still worth checking!
 
BOB I have a turbo kicking about here I got it from ebay so untested 9taken from a series TD minus the i) to experiment with some ceramic coating but never got around to it i think its a disco one tho. if you want it make me an offer Jai

ive got a disco ye turbo.stripped it apart and used the turbo minus caseings to fit my defender caseings.what a job.

waste gate is on opposite side so as the main units are the same ive cobbled together 1 from the 2.refit to engine tomoz.

it took 11 hours to get off and 9hrs to refit turbos into 1.now just manifold and pipework refit on engine left to do.

if you have the problem just feckin pay someone to do it.I had a right pain of a job with it.
