    Dear All,

Have damaged my thermostat housing base today. For some reason the forum is saying I have "insufficient privileges to post here" in the wanted section. Does anyone have a spare they'd like to sell? I'm West Berkshire.

    Rgds, Andrew

Sorry but yes think you need 50 to start a thread in there, not sure wanted should come under same rule as selling but ain’t going there:)

What engine? How have you damaged it (pics?)
    One will turn up.

    Thanks J,

Yes I've broken one of the bolt areas when removing. A previous owner had rounded off two of the bolt heads...the two lower bolts tucked in under the base housing. Neither would move even with narrow mole grips, two days of plusgas and gentle heat. Ended up using a recip saw and cold chisels. The cold chisel impacts to area are what caused the break. It could be welded but it would be much easier to find one spare that someone would like to sell.

Plus, thank you for the "need 50" points[?] note before being able to post in the wanted ads...hopefully someone will read this thread and pm me.

    Rgds,
    Andrew

PS it's an 11J 200tdi, though imagine they're the same housing for all 200tdi's

parts book says ERR1499 Defender and ERR809 Discovery

Has been superseded several times so god only knows what part numbers they reference now.
