Just about to change my starter motor on my 200, do I need to remove the exhaust manifold at all or is it pretty easy access once it's unbolted?

no
no - its fiddly - but possible. yu will need to remove the heat guard to make it easier.

Yeah, heat guards coming straight off, is it worth putting the heat guard back on or not? The haynes simply says, unbolt and remove, but it looks fiddlier than that!

i would put it back. make sure yu dont loose the little nuts and bolts that hold the guard tho (8mm if i remember).
