200Tdi replacing TD?

Now that you're all in here telling me to use search as there are plenty of threads covering the subject...

One question that nothing answers: Will a 200tdi, or a 300 for that matter, fit with the original TD radiator along with an aftermarket intercooler that's already there?

T'would save fannying about with bonnet mounts...
 
fannying about with the rad mount is easy compared to fannying about trying to sort the interconnecting pipework if you wish to retain the original rad

i also remember reading somewhere that a TD rad on a 200 will over cool

So long as your thermostat is working correctly the radiator can not overcool. Important thing is to make sure the rad is not too small but I dont think thats a problem here.

Well I'm sure it would be possible but would be LOADS more hassle to mount and plumb in another intercooler than just alter the radiator mounts. All you have to do is angle grind the mount tops off, grind 3cm off what's left, and then reweld the tops back on. Even with my awful welding skills it only took me 30 mins...
