Good afternoon, Could some one please advise me as to the best way to refit my Discovery 1 200tdi engine timing belt, but the engine is in a series 3 body .As I have looked on you tube and the engines have been on the bench,.thats pretty easy but mine is fitted in my series 3 , I am unable to get access to fit a locating/ locking pin in flywheel because of a chassis cross member just under the access hole /plug.I have followed all the other instructions e.g lining crank keyway with arrow on casing,Dot on camshaft to pointer on casing. locating pin in injection pump, belt fits very good with no problem (Not half a tooth out or anything). But with not being able to use the locking/locating pin on flywheel housing I am not sure.?.Thanks steve

I did this last weekend.

Undo the transfer box mount brackets. Curse corrosion. Promise yourself you'll do the chassis in bilt hambler this winter. Forget that you said that last year.

Jack the transfer box up and you'll have clearance

The pin will just fit in. Rock the crankshaft by refitting the pulley and the bolt to get it to fit exactly.
