200tdi dummy injector thread size/type for compression test?

Hi All,

Got a compression tester but as this is the first time I have used it on a 200tdi I would like to know what size/ type thread dummy injector to buy?

Or maybe someone knows the thread size/ type on the glow plugs?

Use the glows. Don't know the thread off hand but if no one else comes forward with the info I've got a plug somewhere and I'll measure it up if I can find it.

Excellent, thanks for coming forward Flossie and JM.

I've been warned glow plugs can snap/ shear......wd40 every day squirted on until the weekend....fingers crossed as I am the definition of ham-fisted.

Plus gas or even some diesel every day would be better than wd40.
Getting the engine hot just before removal will help too.

Oh, and don't forget to disconnect the stop solenoid when compression testing!

Tdi glow plugs normally come out a doddle as they are quite chunky compared to a lot of the modern ones which are tiny.
