just a quick question, can a 200tdi cylinder head be skimmed/refaced without removing the valves?

yes it can - just needs injectors and glow plugs removed as they protrude, valves are recessed

yes but valve depth from head surface needs to be maintained ie you take 20 thou off surface ,valves need to be recessed 20 thou,plus if skimming is required due to heat distortion valve seats can become loose ,excessive heat relaxes ali heads

i just had mine done.buy a head refit kit.it will save you.
