2008 sport 22” tyre size

. I am running 285 35 22 at moment but want a smoother ride but keeping my 22”.

can I go to 45 profile?.

I don't quite see how the fact you've just started to tow something would make you consider changing the dimension of your tyres?

All through the various wheel sizes for the L320 I'm pretty sure that the overall rolling radius would be a constant, going to 45 aspect ratio would alter things like speedo and possibly insurance.

The tyres you have on at present, are they what they ought to be size wise for your vehicle and rim combo?

Too big your speedo will be incorrect and your mileage will go up more than the actual distance you will cover not to mention extra fuel consumption/suspension & drivetrain wear/inability to turn/undressing itself at low EAS levels etc etc
Unlikely to have positive effect on towing IMO

Highest profile I can find for L320 22s is 35 so I guess no it’s too big.
