Hi All,
I live in Northumberland, UK and have a 2008 Freelander 2 with an HDC fault, HDC System Not Available. So I've registered on LandyZone to pick your brains. I read it is commonly a battery fault, so have slow charged my battery at 0.8A overnight, fully charged now 13.1V but the problem still persists. Is the battery at the end of its life, what should the voltage be on a fully charged battery? Any other reasons for the fault? Is this an MOT failure? TIA for your help.

Welcome to landyzone regular users of WD-40 for aftershave. Worth pursuing the question on the Freelander section for a better answer.

Hello and welcome :)
Fully charged battery should read 12.8v half an hour after being disconnected from charger but also check voltage as you try and start the car as if it drops to low ie under 12v it could well throw a fault, if in doubt get it drop tested and if you end up getting a new battery charge it over night before fitting
