hi all
the pre-ignition amber lights for the traction control are not going off when I start the engine, could there be a common fault I can fix or is it a dealer problem.
also the hill start assist does not work.
any advice ? thanks

the hill start assist not working is a common issue - normally its because the wire has come off rather than something more serious, need to take the gear stick apart a bit (not too difficult) to get to the switch and have a look at the wiring there and check the connections, you'll probably find its come off, just a case of re-attaching it then putting it back together, had the same issue on my '03 TD4

thanks P regards gm

As for the traction control light, maybe just have a go changing the bulb, might be as simple as that, rule out the easy (and less expensive) things first
