2004 td5 misfire

Td5 misfire

Hi my 2004 td5 has started with a cold start misfire with white smoke if you start it and let it tick over its fine or give it lots of throttle its fine is seen to be just above tick over to about 2000 rpm have change the injector loom,glow plugs and cleaned all oil from the red plug, replaced the crank sensor, also changed the injector seals with genuine , the only fault code is 160 can error fault active. Any help on were to look next would be appreciated.

Fault code 160?
Try using a Land Rover specific diagnostic tool to read/clear fault codes.

Most generic fault code readers will not work with the Td5 engine.

Hi have now tested with a better scan tool and there is still a can fault

Cleaning injector socket does that mean it was dirty?

Had the same issue with ours.

Try replacing the injector harness.
