2002 Td5 Discovery buzzing noise after EGR removal

Hi everyone,

Recently completed the ERG removal mod & some 100km after noticed a strange buzzing noise on deceleration in lower gears, sounds like a solenoid or something. Will do it in the afternoon when it is a little warmer & after driving for about 40kms but not on cold mornings even after driving 50+kms. Could this have anything to do with the blanking of the vacuum solenoids?

Hi Neilly,
I used the instructions from www.Discovery2.co.uk, went & double checked I removed the correct tubes, blew down each & definitelt the correct ones, both centre ones on each solenoid, no effects on brake performance noticed either.

Have you tried disconnecting to make sure it is the EGR removal causing the noise?

Disconneting what Neilly, to refit the EGR itself isnt a quick thing to do?

Did you unplug the electric connectors from the solenoids?...if not do that and tie them as to not touch earth
