2002 TD4 manual No drive

Hi

I have a 2002 TD4 (5 door) manual that has lost all drive. Went to pull away and revs went thro roof (heavy foot!) but no drive.

Clutch pedal seems to operate as expected, and all gears can be selected but no drive at all.

Clutch broke?

Or gearbox spline.

Can you select gears without using the clutch? Is the prop connected? Any noises?

OK, been very busy with work but finally got round to pulling the gearbox off. One very worn clutch, DMF well withing tolerance, so fitted a 3 piece clutch kit and now all is well.

I could turn the friction plate with my fingers, no wonder I had no drive. Funny how it should suddenly just let go.

What a pig of a job to do!
