Hi folks,
First post on this site. I have a 2002 Freelander TD4. Bought it July last year with 115K on clock. In the time I have had this car I have replaced both fuel pumps. Other that that it has been running like a clock up to last saturday the 25/1/14. Around 2750 rev it starts to lose power. If you clutch in, switch off and re-start it will take off again for a short while and do the same thing again. Just this morning I removed the ERG and replaced with a bypass kit. Took it for a run still cutting out. I then removed the plug from the air flow meter, took it for a run still doing the same thing. If you have it in neutral give it a hard rev the engine goes off a cylinder or two and cuts out. Anyone had the same problem.
