can anyone out ther shed some light onto my problem?
just had a clutch fitted to my disco, it is a britpart 4 piece clutch,
i was going and should of done it myself, but the gearbox is too heavy for my set up on my drive on chippings, so i have had a garage do it, they called me on fri am to say all done and they have had to have a slave cylinder fitted, then asked me what the pedal was like before, so i went along and drove it, it was better before the new one was fitted, i had a look at the old one and it was just border line on being knackt, the clutch pedal is now at the bottom and is nearly no gap between engaged and bite, will it now need a new master cylinder as the garage mechanic didn't really know either???
said to misses when i got home wish i had done it myself!!!

1st problem .....britpart

possible 2nd problem ...have they bled it correctly .there a swine some times ....!!!

does reservoir splash back when clutch pedal pressed ,howdo you know it was border line knackered ,probably needs bleeding properly

they told me it was leaking badly, i only steamed it off the other week, i had the front wheels sat on 2 concrete blocks and lifted the rear 5foot off the ground with the teleporter, as i want to waxoyl it, so i never noticed anything, the clutch was sliping before and pedal was at the top

seal often pops out when slave is removed seldom much good after, its air leaking in on pedal return that happens before fluid leaks out ,they can be hard to bleed all air out

i would of thought they know this as they claim to be landrover specalists, thats why i took it there, he said next thing is master cylinder? would that need replacing?

Mine did this, fitted a genuine ap slave cylinder and spent 30mins bleeding it and back to a great pedal. Had to get the misses to pump about ten times then undo the bleed nipple half a turn then nip it up quick, took about ten goes to remove all the air.

most arent experts nowadays, whereas there are some very good techs a lot are ****,it may need master as bleeding can often push poor one over the edge ,but i would check first try it yourself with pipe and jar with help

so do you think if i tell em to see if it is bled right, like there was nothing wrong with the pedal at all before, but whats all the hype about the britpart clutch?

Whilst yu may have a legitimate question, filling the forum with **** and spam wont do you or your cause any good. I suggest you learn how to turn that crap off.
