I'd like to do a gearbox oil change on my 2002 1.8 3dr manual hippo but for the life of me I can't find part numbers for sealing/crush washers for the drain and filler plugs. Does anyone have these to hand?

You won't need them. The box casing is made of alloy, so is it's own sealing washer. Just make sure the box and plug are clean before nipping the plugs up again. ;)

OK, it's just that the service manual states that new sealing washers should be fitted...

I've never fitted or known anyone else fit new washers to the Freelander PG1 box. The plugs seal just fine with the existing washer.

Are you doing the IRD oil too? If so get some new plugs, as removing the old ones generally destroys them.
