Hi all

Have just got my first ever Freelander which has been sitting around unused for a long time. Having a quick look around, I noticed the coolant reservoir was empty so I have filled it up to between min and max.

Did about 5 or so miles and took it for its MOT. After a period of idling the fans kicked in (although seem to be wafting round rather than blasting) and the reservoir filled up to the top and coolant leaked out of the top.

The coolant pipes aren't hard and the radiator was replaced in 2016 and still looks new.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Simon

Change out the reservoir as they get crazed / cracking in/on them, also add a new cap which should come with some new reservoirs, also check in the V for the thermostat leaking.
