2000 discovery td5 sluggish slow rev pick uk

HI I am new to the forum. I have just brought a discovery td5 I have had 2 300s so and wanted a td5 but I have noticed that it's very sluggish at low rev takes a age to get it going I have changed the maf sensor and cleaned the map sensor but still the same although starts and runs very well with little or no smoke any ideas?? Much appreciated
