Hiho,

I've been looking around for possible side step bars for my 110, but have just been told in no uncertain terms by a vendor that due to a completely different chassis layout from the 4-doors, there's no such thing that'll fit me. I'd hoped to find something like this:

I really don't like the small folding steps you get everywhere.

At the risk of yet another thread devolving into a discussion over the merits of different breeds of pigs (my wife won't let me have one - a pig, not side runners) I thought I'd ask the experts here . Has anyone else run into this issue and somehow solved it, or knows someone in Europe who does custom jobs?

Thanks!

P.s.: as a helpful tip, electrical wiring smaller than 2-gauge for a high-amp winch connection makes for a nifty hand warmer. Or so I'm told. By a friend.

I do not think the steps mount in different positions depending on the body types, I think they are all the saem. If however they do and you cannot source an off the shelf set it may be worth considering tree sliders. I know they are higher than the steps but they do still make getting in and out considerably easier.

Thanks both - the tree sliders are a distant second option, I don't really like the look of them that much, but if worse comes to worse...

The sales guy I spoke with at John Craddock was adamant that the 2-door Defender chassis would absolutely no way no how fit any of the Defender side runners. I'll call Paddock Spares and see what they have to say.
