Defender 110 Folding side step fitting.

Hi,
I got a set of genuine folding side steps for my defender 110 and i downloaded the manual for fitting them.
But when i look at the manual and compare it to my landrover its different.

I have the channel that the legs of the step slides into but there should be two holes in the side of the channel that i bolt trough but i dont seem to have any holes.
Should there the holes predrilled in the channel??

The only other thing i see is that there is two bolts comming from down from the floor within the channel that seem to line up with the width of the side step. Can i use them to hang the side step from or do i have to do some drilling??

As long as the support that bolts to the chassis is lined up approx then I would and have used the most convenient bolts/holes.
Think I had to adjust the step bracket a bit by pulling apart a bit to fit.

if you go off roading or laning then beet them outta shape with a hammer then throw them in tha back as thall be the end result anyway
