2000 1.8i Track rod end ball joints, ebay quality ?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could comment on the quality of the track rod end ball joints on ebay?
They are available for as little as £5 each ! Are these acceptable or junk and to be avoided?
Could someone please recommend a good after market brand, or is it worth getting them from Land Rover main dealer?

Buy Delphi TREs. Those are reasonable prices and are the OE spec.

Consider what the Track Rod Ends do. Then consider how you feel about using ball joints that cost less than a fiver.
Don't use crap parts for anything that may plough you into a ditch if it fails.
That includes Britpart.

Thanks for the link.
There is a bit of a knocking noise going over bumps etc.
On the previous MOT an advisory:
Drag link Ball end joint slight play Near side front
Drag link Ball end joint slight play Off side front
I assume that means the ball joints?

It means the anti roll bar drop links.
